I took a traditional room and it was worth it ! I just stayed one night but it was so fun to experience this kind of room 😊 The hotel is near the JR train station like 10min walk and about 15mim walk from the park 😊 It has a little shop with Shikamaro products, Nara’s cute mascot, and more ! It also has a restaurant, I couldn’t try it because I didn’t book it in advance (2 days before at least) 😅 but I could try the restaurant room for breakfast where you have to remove your shoes at the entrance 😆 The hotel lobby and restaurant have this kind of cosy atmosphere where you feel comfortable. The reception also helps to feel at ease, they’re very kind 😊 ありがとうございます!

The hotel is very authentic. "The hotel has a charming vintage vibe, full of stories from years past. Our room, 'Fuju,' was spacious and incredibly comfortable. The staff were exceptional, and the location couldn't have been better—close to Nara Park and the station. While they didn't have washing machines on-site, there's a convenient facility just a 7-minute walk away. The onsen was a good experience to end your day with. Pluses, the hotel lobby has items for sale, good for last-minute suviners

I loved this hotel, yes it's dated no denying that but I had a huge room full size bath, the most incredible breakfasts. Staff were lovely especially the breakfast staff, so nice and helpful. The location is terrific 5 mins walk from Nara Station and 10 mins or less from Kintetsu station. They kept my luggage for me after checking out, couldn't be more helpful, I was genuinely sorry to leave here. Incredible value for money

Located a five minute walk from ‘Nara Park’ and the main shopping/dining streets, Hotel Asyl Nara is conveniently central. Helpful and friendly staff, nice Onsen and delicious breakfast - all for a very good price! Room was spacious and quiet. A lovely, little shop with local gifts in the lobby. Added bonus was the Saturday night, Golden Week free bar. Family oriented and cozy atmosphere.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were a decent size and clean. There is a private bath down in the basement and also a public bath which you can book which was really nice. My husband has tattoos so it was nice that we were able to use the private bath. The lobby was very welcoming and cosy. Location was ideal as it was only a short walk from Nara park and the deers :)
